This week’s contender in the browser brawl is Apple’s own Safari, a browser that means to capture all the innovation, intuition, and intelligence of Apple’s products. Safari provides a minimal, delightful experience that integrates incredibly well with and across Apple devices.
The first combatant in the battle of the browsers is the champion of the Open Web, Mozilla Firefox. For many of us, Firefox was our first step away from the tyranny of the big blue E. Since its initial release in 2002, Firefox has managed to claw its way to the top, recruiting half a billion users to the Mozilla open source cause.
Like many designers and developers (I’m sure), I’ve found myself stuck in a browser rut. Every time I find a new one, I’m always super excited about the different features and quirks they offer but, at the end of the day, I still rely on Chrome as my window to the web world.
No more! Beginning today, for the sake of science and personal growth, I shall a different browser each week, all week, pitting big and small against each other in a battle royale I can only refer to as Browser Smackdown!
